We want to get multiple inputs into OBS, arrange them in a nice configuration and then send this to Zoom for a multicam viewer experience.

This walkthrough uses OBS 25.1.8 (64 bit) for Mac @ obsproject.com/welcome running on a MacBook Pro (Early 2015) MacOS Mojave 10.14.6 with 2.9Ghz and 8MB

with the Plug-In obs-mac-virtualcam-3ca8f62-v1.2.0.pkg
@ https://github.com/johnboiles/obs-mac-virtualcam/releases so that the output from OBS can be seen by Zoom as a virtual camera to replace the default FaceTime camera.

Or is it https://github.com/Palakis/obs-ndi/releases

with this package ndi.palakis.fr/ndi-runtime-4.5.1-macOS.pkg ??

When this plugin is installed, under Tools menu you’ll see ‘Start virtual Camera’.

And then with the NewTekNDIToolsForMac.dmg we can use its NDI Virtual Input tool to connect and use other sources (cameras, phones, laptops) over the NDI protocol.

When this is installed, the system will require a restart. Then under Tools menu you’ll see ‘NDI Output settings’.

So first, download and install these three applications onto your MacBook Pro.

Adding an iPhone as a Virtual Camera. (iPhone 6+ running iOS 12.4.8)

From the AppStore purchase, download and run the app NDIHXCAM. The iPhone should be on the same WiFi Network as the MacBook Pro Laptop running OBS. OBS will see this iPhone as a wireless camera in its NDI Source list of available devices.
